Nel cuore del mugello alle porte del Borgo Medievale di Vicchio, che dette i natali a Giotto, è situata la Locanda dell'Antica Porta di Levante.
Recentemente ristrutturata, ospita un elegante ristorante dove si possono ancora gustare antiche ricette Mugellane base di alimenti tipici che possono essere abbinati con uno dei circa 300 vini messi a disposizione dall'Enoteca, anch'essa sita all'interno della Locanda.
L'enoteca è aperta tutte le sere e offre un'ampia varietà di vini, da degustare anche al bicchiere, con la possibilità di abbinarli a formaggi, salumi e daltri prodotti tipici Mugellani e non, selezionati personalmente dai proprietari della locanda, Simone Draisci, maítre, e Christian Borchi, chef.

The Old East Door Inn is situated in the heart of the Nugello, exactly at the doors of the medieval village of Vicchio - Giotto's birthplace.
The recently restored inn has an elagant restaurant where we can still savour the old Mugello recipes made from typical food which can be coupled with on out of about three hundred different kinds of wine in stock. The wine shop at the interior of the inn is open all evenings and you can taste a glass of wine from the large variety. Im Herzen des mugello, vor den Toren des mittelalterlichen Städtchens Vicchio, dem Geburtsort von Giotto, befindet sich die Locanda dell'Antica Porta di Levante.
Nach gründlicher restaurierung beherbergt sie nun ein elegantes Restaurant, auf dessen Speisekarte man noch alte Rezepte mit den für den Mugello typischen Zutaten findet. Diese Speisen können mit einem der etwa 300 Weine aus der in der Locanda befindlichen Önothek kombiniert werden.
Die Önothek ist jeden Abend zur Weinprobe geöffnet: ein Glas Wein aus dem reichhaltingen Angebot der verschieden weine und typische Produkte aus dem Mugello und auch aus anderen Gebieten, auf Empfehlung von Maitre Simone Draisci, dem Eigentümer der Locanda, und Christian Borchi, seinem Küchenchef.
